Diva Scrap Tournament 2014

Image
Once again I entered my double page and card in this weeks challenge with the other girls from all over the world. The double layout had to be  monochromatic in colour, with 5 photos, one to be black and white and 1/2 on the right side and 1/2 on the left side. I decided to do white as my colour scheme with 5 black and white photos The card was to be monochromatic as well and must be 3D and have a pop up element in it. I used pink as my colour scheme.  But I didn't succeed in getting in the first 6 in my group of gals but enjoyed doing this a giving it a go.

CSI#110 - Everyday Moments

Image
Another weekly challenge from CSI  One of the things in the testimony that you had to journal about a pet I knew which photos I could use. My cat Anna-belle. I have turned the sketch sideways. and created form there. Here is the little she cat, a devil in disguise she might look adorable but she is the owner of this household.   The colour scheme is black, tan/light brown, white, ecru and corn yellow. I used flowers, pearls and lace for the evidence and used the inspirational words in my journaling, style, fancy and hope. Here is the challenge along with the sketch Product I have used: Kaiser Art of life collection - negitaves and film strip, pearls and some of the collectables Prima and petaloo flowers and stuff from my stash a typo doily frame and bobunny noteworthy tags

CSI#109 - I wish for a simple life

Image
I had to stop and think about this challenge, it was not the colour scheme, evidence but the testimony. I do not get much tome to read, don't get me wrong I love to read but time is nil.... I get to read my favourite mags at breaky over my cup of tea and toast. I found this page a bit dark for me but I had fun doing it. I have used all the colours, heat embossed put a frame around my page. Used textured paper, dry embossed and made greenery on my background. I have put my journaling on a tag under the photo and it says: I try and find a quiet place to read and it is usually a card, scrapbooking or art magazine. You think by now life would be simple and have plenty of time to read. But no I have had a novel along side my bed that I started over 12 months ago. Such is life.....   Here is the challenge that comes from  http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/   The colour scheme: bright cherry red, white, bright yellow, dark olive green and navy

Card Club

Image
Once a month at  Scrapbook Fantasies  they have a card club, 2nd Saturday of each month. If you like you can do the card swap and you usually have a theme, this month was love and hearts. You make about 12 swap cards and swap with others who do the swap. Sometimes one of the girls will do a demo on something they have learnt. You can come along just for the fun, it is free and you even get a cuppa and a chat. And it is a good way to use up your scraps. Not all my cards are made from the same thing but the design is the same. Here are a sample of my swap card:
