An Off the Page

Image
Last week I just recently went for a short trip to Rockhampton and went and checked out A Crafters Passion and I decided to buy one of their monthly kits I think they come available about the 15th of each month. You get about nine pieces of patterned paper, three cardstock and a lovely embellie pack filled with goodies this cost me $35.00 so I bought it home and looked at the papers and thought I will make an off the page book with this for my dad. As it had planes on it and he was in the Air Force when he was younger. I forgot to take a photo of the pack before I dived into it but this is the book I have made. No photos yet but I will get to them later. I have added about another three pieces of cardstock to this kit for tags etc.

Next one on the list was to make an Aquarium or Diorama hmm I thought what am I going to create, I wanted to do something different so I pulled out a 16x16 inch canvas turned it over to the back and away I went. A bit of texture paste here and there. Sprayed glimmermist to my hearts content added a smaller canvas and created a mermaid using the lovely Julie Nutling mermaid stamp, seashells, pearl sprays and of course some prima flowers and leaves.

For the month of April Aussie Crafters hold  challenges and swaps and this month the theme is Under the Sea. The first one was a card swap and I had to make a gel card. Gel card I thought never made one of these before. So I headed to google and soon found out and away I went.  So this is my hair gel card it is 6x6 inches and some special lady is going to get my card. The photo was hard to photograph the glare was really bad but it turned out ok.

CSI # 159 "3 Beauty's"

Image
Yes I know that is not how you spell beauties but I ran out of letter stickers so that is how it had to be. Once again I have attempted to follow the lovely challenge from  CSI  The photo was taken at my daughters best friends wedding I think they where trying to run away. The Colour scheme is - grayish teal blue, light ecru, light mauve, plum and black. The evidence is flowers and leaves, feather, grid pattern, stamp, mixed media, scallops and a decorative border. And for the testimony I have used the inspiration words in my journaling love, beauty and soul. For me this layout is a bit messy but I was trying something different I am not sure wether I like it but here it is Products I have used cream and black cardstock, texture paste and a mask glimmermist dragonfly, deep plum and timeless lilac sprays green tara flowers, butterfly and leaves bella blvd feather stampendous mish mash stamp black stazon liquitex black ink viva pearl pen
