Well this is the last combined sketch challenge for this month from http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com & http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com.au/   I have really enjoyed these colour palettes and sketches should be more off. Good to see  CSI and OUAS combining there challenges. Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge - NO 1

This is a challenge from http://another-freaking-scrappy-challenge.blogspot.com.au/  with this one you had to talk about a teacher or someone who inspired you , believed in you, helped you in some way. I have hidden my journaling under the photo, as what I have said about these two ladies comes from the heart. Product I used: I used a piece of cardstock that was in my ufo box. White paper doiley, green tara flower. Jellibean coconut lime soup paper - straw mushroom Assorted coloured rhinestones and a script stamo, stamped with black ink. 

CSI # 38 & once upon a sketch - 3 dogs

This is another colour pallette  from http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com and  sketch from http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com.au/   My three little fat dogs. Scruffy the oldest about 14 years young. Harry a jack russell the little escapee of the three and Benji the wonder dog, as he was o go to he pound and we said we will find him a good home. And yes he has ours. He just fitted in. The colour scheme: brown, greenish grey, grayish blue, off white and celadon green. White with 1 - Cheers

This colour challenge comes from http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au/  You had to use white, orange and black only. I tried something a bit different by trying to have a bit of white space. Trac and Mike having a dip and a drink in the pool at Kakadu National Park resort.     Product I used: white cardstock sprayed with sei tumble dye - orange and tattered angels chalkboard - charcoal glimmermist Petaloo black and orange flowers, coulture creation flower, kaiser black bling swirl and american crafts foam alphas    

Scrap the Boys - Boyz and there toyz

This challenge comes from http://www.scraptheboys.blogspot.com.au/   this is a site for the boys only. We were at a 2 day shoot in Roma Qld and my Laurie had trouble with the ute. The 2 Lauries  being boys  couldn't help themselves having a look. My Laurie was under the ute and the other was looking in the motor. The joke around our camp was " they where looking for their lost targets" a great joke.     Porducts I used: The background was another opsy from a previous challenge I did not like so it worked really well with this one. Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge - Broome

This is a new blog   http://another-freaking-scrappy-challenge   I have started to follow and rather enjoy it.  You get a sketch and away flows your creative juices. This photo was when Tracy was working around the N.T and W.A selling her sunnies etc. When can you enjoy your work so much site seeing while you work. What a great job.   Product I used:   The base is cream cardstock with bobunny flutterbutter ballet die cut put together. I then used  swirl mask and mixed reeves gloss medium and raw umber together and put on. I then added green oxide chromium over the top with a baby wipe. Bobunny cardstock sticker, a cream cotton doiley and american crafts vanilla create paper alphas       

Prima - product pick & build a page

These challenges come from http://prima.typepad.com/  where you can only use prima products, which I have plenty of stash to use, my favourite products is you guessed it flowers. This first challenge is the Prima product pick, I choose, yes flowers.   Product I used:   All Prima - flights of fancy collection - faith and firefly papers pashiche collection - seaside papers assorted flowers bling swirl tiny alphbet alphas.     Prima Build A Page Another photo of  Mike and Pheb on their cruise. Celebrating a holiday, engagement and new years 2011.  With this challenge you have a sketch and you also have to only use prima products.   Product I used: Prima flowers and a pearl swirl Prima fairybelle collection - motifs vintage trinkets and flutter bits fairybelle I used a white piece of cardsock for the background and sprinkled tattered angels chalkboard teal high heal glimmermist          

Scrapbook Fantasies weekly challenge # 39 & Vip Sept sketch

These challenges come from www.scrapbookfantasies.com.au The first one is the monthly Vip sketch.  I have been creating an album for my daughter of photos taken from Becs wedding day.     Product I have used: All Kaiser - the lake house collection - papers and collectables green tara flowers and assorted ribbons     This challenge for week 39 you had to use: 3 photos, 2 patterns, 3 plain, flowers or stars   Product used:   This is a $5.00 kit from Scrapbook fantasies. white cardstock and floral mask and texture paste, over sprayed with sei tumble dye -  pink I sanded round the edges of the photos, green tara flowers and thickers jewelry box alphas.               

TCR # 129 - Keeping out of the rain

We had a family of pee wees take cover under our back patio in a heavy downpoor of rain. Poor little things were so wet.  This sketch and colour palette comes from   http://thecolorroom.ning.com/   Product I used: White cardstock sprinkled with shimmerz paint - lime in da coconut Terresa collins - christmas cottage paper coulture creation flowers  I cut up an old doiley and dyed it with sei green tumble dye and shimmerz paint - lime in da coconut zra creative  crystal swirl kaiser sparklets basic grey rhinestones        

C'est Magnifique September Challenge - Wonderful

This is a lovely photo of Sammi on her wedding day. Sorry we couldn't make it. This challenge comes from http://cestmagnifiquekits.blogspot.com.au/  I won a kit from them some months ago and thought I had better use it, not keep it in my stash. Which happens a lot when I take a liking to the papers.       Products I used:   All out of the kit to didn't have to add anything 7 dots studio paper collection:  Queen of hearts - wonderland, spades and clubs and mushroom and smoke papers. Want 2 scrap - charlies chipboard birdcage prima flowers -  chipboard and flowers teresa collins - canvas flower pulled apart A lovely lace beaded panel   This is the sketch:

I created this layout using this weeks challenge at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog, which is a fixed challenge (ie there are several things you have to use).  I have created a tone-on-tone textured background using one of the new Donna Downey Masks from Scrapbook Fantasies, and texture paste.

CSI # 37 & Once Upon A Sketch - Summer Days

Well doing well another challenge finished. This one I have really enjoyed it has my favourite colour in it blue. Tracy is always out and about in Darwin. She was at the V8's in this photo enjoying the sunshine and lovely warm weather. This is another week of  http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com  and  http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com.au/ combining their challenges. Great idea I think.         The colour scheme was: black, white, medium light grey, deep blue sky and dark red. The sketch from OUAS. Evidence: Dots, red spotty tissue wrapping paper, circles Testominy: I handwrote my journaling and used the word break     Products I used: I decided to go a bit different and work on a black background. I sprinkled white liquidex ink around the page then used chipboard circles which I then painted with mm waterslide and kaiser cool grey paint. I used a white cotton doiley, manor house, green tara and prima flowers and a pima swirl to finish it off

TCR # 128 - Sunset a great place to be

This was a fun one to do again those unusual colours that I hardly use. But I managed even with the orange (not my colour). This colour pallette and sketch comes from  http://thecolorroom.ning.com/         I first used a swirly mask and some texture paste, then spritzed and spritzed some more even with some water, it was so soppy wet I had to stop and let it dry naturally. I used tuscan sun glimmermist, tim holtz distress dauber vintage photo and ranger brown sugar dauber and water to create this. Then tattered angels glimmer glaze orange splattered over top. petaloo and other assorted flowers, a bauble ribbon, an old doiley and mm alphas out of my stash box. CSI # 36 / Once upon a sketch - 30

This photo was taken last weekend at Rydges in Yeppoon we had a dinner for Tracy, but she did not know I was coming. What a surprise she had she nearly screamed the place down. We had a lovely meal and some yummy cake, a few to many drinks and a lot of fun. Had kangaroos feeding just outside the resturant door, and Tracy even had a guy try and chat her up, that was so funny. This colour sketch come from   http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com   and the sketch is from http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com.au/  this month they have combined  there challenges, what a great idea.   The scheme was as follows: a deep orange, an orange-y brown, light cream, grayish yellow and a buttery yellow. Evidence:  mesh, misting and included a curved shape to my design Testimony: I wrote my journalling in the form of a letter.   Product I used: My background I used bobunny double dot decaf vintage. Scrap 365 - Peek-a-boo

Justice is such a lovely cute little girl, you just want to hug her. She was playing peek-a-boo with Sammi after having lunch with the family at Yeppoon. This sketch comes from http://sketchbook365.blogspot.co.uk/     Product I used:   Fancy Pants Be You Forget me not paper collection - subway art, game time green tara flowers, thicker foam alphas. For the background I swipped some reeves modeling paste over the top then lightly with a piece of foam swipped some viva inka gold lava red  over the top, then stamped with black ink and a script stamp. I used some scrapware chipboard hearts out of my stash coloured them with viva lava red and then stamped the script over the top and then covered it with some dimensonal magic.   This is the sketch:     

TCR # 127 - Beep Beep

Justice out shopping with Sammi, look out everyone she is coming through. This colour pallette and sketch comes from http://thecolorroom.ning.com/   I did this page a bit different, I thought instead of using the squares for photos or paper I would change it and use hearts instead. I have been using up some of my chipboard just to much stash.   Products used:   Kraft cardstock using texture paste and a chevron mask I have had in my stash, see you do use it in time. Then coloured it with viva inka gold - lava rot, lava green and some black around the edge. A spray of black glimmermist over the top. I coloured the collections chipboard hearts with the green and red then used Tim Holtz destress dauber over the top and quickly wiped it off then went over the top with the green and red. Dear Lizzy's thicker alphas and assorted flowers.   This is the sketch and colour challenge:     

Last weeks card class - Christmas Theme

We had a bit of fun making these cards. I know it is not far till Christmas now only 4 months to go. Scarey heh. We heat embossed,  did dry embossing,  stamped and got our fingers dirty.  I teach these cards at  http://www.scrapbookfantasies.com.au   

Double Trouble

This sketch comes from http://www.aliciaredshaw.com.au/  . Karen and I  went shopping with Laurie and Adrian in Rockhampton. This photo was taken while they where just looking in one of the stores.     The background that I used was a piece of cardstock that was an opsy, didn't work with what I wanted to use it for. Just proves if you keep it long enough it will get used. The cream background was originally painted with a brown metallic paint and light blue around the edges. I then mixed medium gloss gel with raw umber paint and put it over a mask. Sprayed english ivy and golden terracotta glimmermist over the top then used a script stamp with brown ink. Graphic 45 tropical travelogue collection papers, petaloo floal flower, lost and found pearl swirl, adorn-it tiny black alphas and thickers foam alphas.   This is Alicias sketch:    

CSI # 35 - Sunshine

This was fun page to do, I inked, destressed used a mask, stamped, so much fun getting your fingers dirty. This sketch and colour challenge comes from http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com         Using a piece of cardstock I destressed with Tim Holz distress inks ( peeled paint,peacock feather, squeezed lemonade and antique linen) I then used a mask for the sun and the pebbles, then painted over with white paint and sprayed with Lindy's (bells of ireland green) and  sei (yellow tumble dry) tattred angels (teal high heel) and then glimmermist (sand).
