Week 3 Donna Downey workshop

Image
Oh am I having getting my hands dirty, I am simply loving doing this course. I have learnt so much in only 3 classes. Here is my week 3 journal page. Heaps of texture in this one and in the middle of the flowers are metal flowers.  My poor journal is getting hard to close but most times it is sitting open on my art table in ready for the next challenge. I have used a 11 1/2 x 16 1/2 milini journal so open it measures pretty big. But I am not having any trouble filling the pages. I also am using the golden paints and they are so lovely to use so smooth and go onto your paper so easily. I purchased these products from  Scrapbook Fantasies

Week 2 Challenge was to use green and white only  you can view here at  Scrapbook fantasies  . I have used the new Kaiser paper range Spring Bloom. I have hidden journaling under the photo. There was black spots on the page so I used some perfect pearls to cover this and I also used it on the birds wing. Now onto week 3 you had to use transparency in some way on your page. I have also used more of the new kaiser range Art of Life. Love this paper range one of my favourites. The photo is Laurie and his 3 sons Brad at front, Darren and our son Michael. I have also used prima wood and flowers.

I enjoyed this so much can not wait for week 2. So with out further ado here is week 2  Just love the colours in this one and yet again got my hands very dirty but it was a lot of fun.

Scrapbook Fantasies weekly challenge 1

For this week the theme was to have a number in your title you can view this challenge here at Scrapbook Fantasies   Here is my page and yes Michael again on one of his fishing trips catching Barra. I pulled a piece of hessian apart to create the messy ribbon cut out a key and put some dimensional magic to create some dimension. The verse was from the barcode from the Kaiser Art of life collection. And  flowers of course. I think Michael gives up on me with putting flowers all over his pages he just says what ever rocks your boat mum. Gotta luv him....

Lindy's Stamp Gang Colour challenge - Believe in yourself....

Image
This is the first time I have given the Lindys Challenge a go, I have collected a few different colours in the sprays so I thought I would have a go. I thought I would do a canvas I have had a paper mache  mannequin hiding in my stash that I had bought for another project years back. I cut it in half and glued it to my canvas and worked around it, all sorts of textures lace, texture paste, masks, heat embossing and  some bandage I just let my creativeness go with the flow. The Lindy's sprays I have used are Time travel teal,  Cheshire cat cherry , Afternoon delight denim and Scintillating silver. There where a few oopsees but with mixed media you can cover them up with something else. This is where you can see the challenge http://lindystampgang.wordpress.com/2013/12/01/december-color-challenge/       With the bodice of the dress I have used some flower lace that I had in my stash. I also used tulle for the dress I just put it into a plastic bag and spray
