A week at Roma

Image
We attended the State Skeet Championships in Roma last week and Laurie did very well for himself. He is No2 in the open team, No1 in the veterans team to attend the Skeet Nationals in Wagga next year. He also came home with another 3 red ribbons and a number of medals for his troubles. While he shot I created in our little home away from home our caravan. The weather was beautiful a bit cold in the mornings like 4 degrees brrrr. But I put up with that snuggled up in bed with the cat along side of us. lol.... Roma gun club has a stock route along side of ti and a big mob of cattle heading for the meat works came in for a drink. Here are some photos.     Out west is so dry they need rain desperately.  This is our camp lucky we had a bit of shade in the carpark.  And the boss of the camp. She sorted out the birds put all them in line(let them know who was boss)

CSI # 87 - Alex

This page is dedicated to a special little girl that came into our lives a few years ago when her mum Christine and Grandma came to our scrapbooking retreat. Alex always had a lovely little grin on her happy face. She will be forever in our hearts. Ok this challenge is from http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com and here is my page.         I have used all 5 colours - rose pink, light teal green, teal green, palest grey and avacodo green. For the evidence I have used mist, word stickers and butterflies. And the testimony I have used the word lost as an inspiration in my journaling.

Aussie Scrap Source - A good Friend

Image
This challenge was taken from http://www.aussiescrapsource.typepad.com/  and guess what yahoo yepee I have been published on their blog and so has Mar. So go and check us out. We had to do our own take on our project using either washi tape, vellum or glitter tapes. I used washi tape on my page.   Product I have used: Prima lyric collection (overture and tempo) washi tape, assorted prima flowers, light bulb, buttons and alphas. I also had to do a short tut on how I did this page. Yeh right easier said then done. So here goes..... First of all I tore up the overture paper and adhered it to the tempo paper across the middle, then added some washi tape and white washed it with gesso. Matted the phot of Sharon and placed where I wanted it and then used a prima crackle mask and texture paste either side of the photo.I then placed flowers and embellies around and sprayed with shimmerz manderine mai tai and egg noggin.

Scrapbook Ideas Magazine - Budget Challenge

All these photos where taken when Laurie and I where on holidays in Longreach in May this year.  The Prima paper range I have used is from the Lifetime collection. Fasola, blue bayou, love tags and quilter. Also I have used some of the chipboard pieces and journaling stickers from the same range.
