Monochromatic Red

Hello everyone today on Creative Inspirations
we have a Friday Mini crop day.

This month I am the Guest designer.
Go on over and check out what the other girls have come up with.

When I decided to do a monochromatic project I thought this would be easy.
But how wrong was I Red is a colour that I don't create with much, mainly at christmas.
So I dived into my christmas paper stash looking for anything red.
I didn't want my project to look christmassy at all.
So this was a challenge. Thank goodness for Lindy's sprays
they are a savour.

I have decorated a large gift bag. Sorry the photo colour isn't that great.
I used a large red gift bag and covered it with pattern paper
both sides of the bag

I had some red hessian in my stash so I glued this to the top of the bag
on front and back of the bag. Then added a strip of red rose trim

I coloured the large white paper doily with the Lindy's spray
and when it was dry I used the scrip stamp and the archival ink
and went over the top of it. Do both of the large doilys the same.
I also did the same to the large white flowers all four of them.

Glue all these onto the front and back of your bag.
I added a tag. This tag has been embossed with an embossing folder.
I t was white so I used the Tim Holtz distress ink to cover it.
Then rubbed the Blazing red Staz on ink pad all over it.
Glue everything onto the front of your tag and tie to the
front of your bag.
