A bit of Art Journaling

Image
Hi girls I am back after 2 weeks holiday and ready to get stuck into everything again. Went back to work yesterday that was a bit hard, but made it though the morning. Taught my card class then off to the dentist for a clean and  exrays. Was a very brave girl, simply hate the dentist. But everyone there are simply lovely and very understanding.   Well didn't get much done while I was away, just fixed up my La La stamps put them in order and into 2 big ring binders. Do not let me buy anymore and guess what I did yesterday they are so cute. I took stuff for me to do but to much socializing for me.   On Saturday I created an at jounal page. Love was the theme, seems I completely missed Valentines day we where travelling. And when you are on the road one day goes into the other.       The quote says: When you smiled you had my undivided attention When you said you loved me You had my heart forever.

Card Colour Challenge - February 2013

Image
I have been thinking about hosting a challenge for a while now and here it is....my very own Card Colour Challenge. All you have to do is create a card using Blue , Green , Red and White, upload it somewhere and link it's location into the Inlinkz thingy at the bottom of this post by midnight on 28 February and you could win one of the fab ribbon packs (pictured below) donated by Scrapbook Fantasies . Scrapbook Fantasies have also provided a folder on their Gallery where you can upload your creation if you don't have a blog of your own - here . Here is my take on my February Card Colour Challenge: Scrapbook Fantasies have donated two ribbon packs, one for a random winner and one for a winner of my choice - each valued at over $10, plus FREE International postage:

Altered Frame

Image
We had a frame that came in damaged into the shop and decided to give it a dressing up. Here I have used Prima and Kaiser flowers, Kaiser bling swirls and pearl bead ribbon and  some shells that I had in my stash. We can make these frames to order any colour you would like, depends of course what we have left in stock.   Looks better in real life, had fun doing this one mostly because blue is my favourite colour.

Card Classes

They really enjoyed using them.

Card Club

Once a month at http://www.scrapbookfantasies.com.au they hold there card club which is free to anyone who wishes to come, it is usually held on the 2nd Saturday of each month.  This months theme is monocromatic cards mine was pink. Colours where put into a hat and you had to pick one out .  You have to make a certain amount of cards I usually make 12 as it is an easy number of cards to make and any leftovers I usually put in my spare card box for birthdays etc. This is my pink card    I have stamped the rocking chair with ordinary pink ink and then embossed with pink embossing powder the teddy bear onto the chair. Then you if you wish can purchase a kit for $2.50 and make a card. This then goes into a competition and the customers get to vote. You are allowed to add to these kits all I have added is the bling swirl and the small flowers.   This is the card I have made:

Scrapbook Fantasies Monthly Challenge

Every month at http://www.scrapbookfantasies.com.au  they have an adult and kids page competition  and a card challenge(copic and traditional) these kits cost only $5.00. You have to use at least a piece of everything in the kit and not allowed to add anything except inks etc. Here are my pages and cards:   This page is the Adult page competition.     I have used the $5.00 kit For the background I have used some irredescent medium mixed with some black acrylic paint and then put over a mask. Then I dribbled some white liquitex ink over the top.   I try and do the kids competition pages as well every month. So here goes.       The white background which you can hardly see as it is covered up with the Kaiser paper has been sprayed with dylusions postbox red, coloringz pink stillettos and lime in da coconut.   Now these are my cards for the card competition.       This ca...
