Memory Maze DT - February

Hello everyone, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I know I did a very quiet one for me this year.  Today I have been wanting to decorate the outside of my Mixed Media Art Journal, so here goes. Ready to get your hands dirty, very very dirty. I am using a A4 art journal and I had an old art canvas that I didn't need anymore. So I cut the canvas from it and then laid the journal out flat, cut around the edge leaving about 2 inches around the edges. I used matt medium to glue this together. You will need a good strong  glue to keep this from coming off.  I left this to dry overnight. Open  your journal up and place face down, this makes it easier to work with. I then used my Memory Maze spotty mask and texture paste and covered all over the back and front of the journal. Let this dry then from my stash I used a script mask  and did the same thing. This is giving you texture. Make sure this is dry. I gathered my Memory Maze ch...

Art Journal Memory Maze DT

Hello everyone Candy here with another Off the page project. A group of my friends came to me and wanted to make an art journal, so I put my thinking cap on and this is what I came up with. I started with an A4 2 ring binder , covered it with some canvas that I pulled off an old canvas from my stash. Then I painted it all with some gesso this is to help prep the canvas and to seal it. I used a flower/swirl mask and some texture paste.  Inside and out and then waited for this to dry. I used different coloured sprays and waited for it to dry again. I used a script stamp and archival ink and stamped here and there, then run the stamp pad over the outside, just to give it some colour. I used the 12x12 inch round butterfly frame from Memory Maze, cut it in  half  and daubed some texture paste over it and dried it well. When it was dry I sprayed with gold and sepia sprays. The extra butterflies form the pack I coloured with the prima ink pads and glued one...

Hello everyone Candy here  bringing you all my first project for October project. Thanks to Jodie for covering me last month, it is my turn now to repay her. Once again I have dived into my mighty stash box and found a fan that has been waiting paitently  to be decorated.  Firstly I have sprayed the fan with some gold spray. Then while that is drying I have used the swirl pieces from the 12x12 chipboard sheet.  I heat embossed the chippies with gold  digger embossing powder and then dotted Platinum pearls along the swirls Once this was all dry I place them onto the fan with a good strong glue like Helmar 450, tied a big fluffy bow then placed the flowers how I wanted them. When you have done this, finish off with perfect pearls along the top of the fan.  Product used White fan, Lindy's Starburst Wake me up before you go gold spray,  Shimmerz gold digger enamelz, Liquid Pearls Platinum pearl and green tara flowers, ri...
