Hi everyone sorry I have not been home to do any more creating as I have spent this last week helping family clean up after Cyclone Marcia in Yeppoon, not a lot of damage was done to my mums house even though she lives right on the beach front high winds driving rain I think she was very lucky. As for Tracy and Michael they only lost power and water for a few days. So we did a mercy trip with fresh water, petrol and a generator. Yeppoon was totalled so many houses lost their roofs. But mainly power outages and no water. My Aunty and Uncle thought they lost thier roof but it was from next door, but there yard to a total mess. It is sad to see the little town I grew up in totally smashed. But with lots and lots of volunteers helping out it will slowly get back on its feet. I have my mum living here with me at the moment as she has no power as off yet but hopefully by the end of the week.

I was asked by a friend of mine last weekend would I make her a special card to give to her daughter on her wedding day. And I was given the colour scheme orange, silver and cream and I thought Orange a colour I really do not favour. But I think it turned out really nice I didn't want the orange to over power the card so this is what I have done.
This is the front I have used cream cardstock, silver and cream vellum and orange stardream paper. A lot of Prima flowers and some bling swirls of course.
Sorry the photos are a bit dark as we are having heaps of rain here from a cyclone coming down our coastline.

Pizza box you say and yes it is a new one. 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches square and decorated using a Kaisercraft book. Handmade flowers using Tatered flowers die and some glitter paper. So so easy to do just stick all together. I have decorated the inside as well. The hardest part was deciding what to put where. This is a great present just on its own.
Firstly I purchased a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 KAiser craft paper pad as I said deciding on what to use is the hardest but for this one it was for Christmas so it was easy. I bought a new pizza box from my local Scrapbooking Shop and inked all the edges with a brown pine cone ink. The paper pad fits exactly onto the pizza box no trimming. The sides where cut to 1 1/4 inches so you get the four sides out of a piece of paper. So all you have to do is ink the edges. I used double sized tape to stick the paper onto the out side and also the inner. But make sure you put the tape on as close to the edges as you can. Cover the outside before then put the box together then cover the inside. I used the collectables that went with the paper collection. I cut some flowers out of some of the scraps using the TIm HOltz tattered flowers die and a Martha STewart leaf punch. This is so easy to do and makes a great gift for anybody. You could personalise it put cards inside to add a bit more for a great gift.
Now just a few questions that I have to answer....
What are you working on now?
Hmmm I have a few things on the go I am making a wedding card for a friend to give to her daughter on her wedding day. So it has to be something special. And what I am also working on is cleaning my craft room. I mean giving it a good clean so everything is coming out and if I haven't used it it goes. But hahaha how much is being thrown out you guessed it nothing. I mean you might need it one day heh.....
Why do I create what I do?
I usually create with a theme in mind or a challenge. I don't really know what I am going to do at the start I just go with the flow and see what arrises hehe and yes I have had a few disasters at times but I don't throw them out nine times out of ten I reuse the oppsies for something else.
How does your work differ from others in your genre?
I think everyone has there own style or how they work. I love texture in my work if I am doing mixed media. But for cards hmm this is a hard one to answer I am not sure but all I know is I love to use flowers and more flowers.
How does your creative process work?
My process well I just start with card if I am making cards and I just dive into my stash to see what can go sometimes I use it all and other times I just use a few things. I f I am creating a page I usually start with the photo and go from there.
Hope you join us in this blog hop and have a looky see at the other girls work.
I was given this blog hop challenge from Sally Rea
this is her blog...
My mum is so hard to buy for so I thought what can I give her. I know she is always looking for a calender so I decided to make her one. I had a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 pizza box in my stash, covered it with a Kaisercraft paper range, hessian, flowers from out of my stash. I also made a 6x6 inch ring album also covering with the same kaiser range and adding the collectables from the same range.

HI Everyone, well it has been quiet a while since I have blogged. I have created but not blogged. So this is my new years resulotion. To keep my blog up to date. I have just been away for two weeks holiday, we (Laurie and I ) packed up our caravan and headed south of the border. Albury and Melbourne shooting off course well he shoots and I usually create. Didn't take much with me this time I mainly read a book I started like last year and crocheted. And this is what I have created....
Baby shoes 0-3 months I am selling these at my local markets
Laurie enjoying himself
We had a great time catching up with our skeet family that is what we call ourselves. A fantastic group of people. Not really wanting to come home I could have kept on travelling Western Australia way.
We where up early one morning at the Melbourne gun club and got some lovely photos of the hot air balloons landing at the Lilydale airport
This is the camp grounds we where on this side. The indian side
And this was the cowboy side as they put their caravans in a circle so we used to invaid them every night.
